My sweet boy is 12
Neighbor Gloria wasn't able to use her Legoland tickets so gave us 5 tickets to use by the end of the year.... so we decided to use it for Nic's birthday!
The boys thanking Gloria for the tickets!
Our kids never tell us anything, so Adrian and I usually get good scoop from their friends. We had a great conversation about a bunch of random stuff....learned so much from talking to their friends.
a note from Walker
Nic calmly told me to look at the sky tonight.....
I screamed to Adrian to come outside immediately!!!
Snapped this photo and watched in amazement as it slowly disappeared.....it was so freaky!!!
Found out later it was the Space X's launch....
For 10 minutes, we seriously pondered the idea of it being a UFO.....
Not a win for the team....but a great opportunity for me to practice with the new camera.
These 2 chicks roam our streets often....they belong to a neighbor that lives 3 doors away.
They are sisters: Frank 'n Stein (I don't know which is which)
During Thanksgiving week, we saw only 1 roaming around. She looked so lonely. We assumed a raccoon got to the other one.
I convinced our neighbor to let me bring her into our flock (?) of chickens.
I made a partition in the coop to ease her into the group or else they would peck her to death. So far, she is adjusting really well....and the other 3 chickens seemed to leave her alone. We don't know if she is "Frank" or "Stein", but we renamed her "FRANKIE".
Here comes the special part of my story....
Last Thanksgiving, one of my neighbors watched our chickens while we were out of town. My favorite one (Ruby) died because the neighbor forgot to lock her in the coop at night. She was our special chicken because she was the only one that laid blue eggs!
This Thanksgiving, Frankie left us a blue egg.
