2/27/2016 2 Comments It's the little things....A few things you might not know about me: 1) I LOVE paper products 2) I LOVE miniature items 3) I LOVE "Made in Japan" Adrian and I went for lunch at work...next to our restaurant was a Japanese dollar store! Interesting, right? I popped in to see what fun stuff they might have....boy, do they have cute things!!!! The BEST was the Japanese stationary section. There were little note cards and envelopes....tiny little envelopes made from quality paper and adorable simple designs. I could just DIE! Look how cute!!! And only $1.50 a package....consider my mind blown away! I bought a few...I don't even know what to do with all of them, but I have decided that I MUST have one of each design. MUST!!! Having this collection makes me unbelievably happy! I was so excited at the cash register.....the cashier (young Asian kid) told me to not worry...that they have plenty in stock and have been here for years, that I didn't have to buy each design in fear of them running out. haha! It has been 2 days and I am still obsessing with these notes/envelopes....I went on Etsy to see the various designs and options out in the big wide world...saw the same set about 3x as much! Photo-bombing a wedding photo shoot :) 2/27/2016 0 Comments The hoodExploring the shops in the hood with Paula on a lazy Saturday.... Stopped by vintage shop with beautiful dresses from the 40's,50's,60's....so fun watching P try on dresses. Oh to be a size 2... Met up with Chamberlain family for ice cream and ... a short visit to the ZOO: After winning #1 AYSO team in San Diego (U10), Team Venom headed to Anaheim to compete for #1 AYSO team in Southern California! Jiovanni, Joshua, Mikko, Henry, Frazie, Daniel, Nic, Cross, Norberto Cross' Mom is our NBC News morning weather lady - she posted this forecast for this weekend: Soccer + Pizza by the Pool = AWESOME WEEKEND We placed 4th.....they say it was out of 512 teams in Southern Cal....is it possible to have that many teams? We lost to those giant kids! At the medals ceremony, Coach Alex said a few words about each kid. Nic got emotional when Coach spoke of Nic's contributions to the team and his appreciation for Nic. We are so proud of Nic! Even though they didn't go all the way, he played his heart out......it was a very thrilling and satisfying experience for all of us!
This was Nic's last season with AYSO. He wanted to try club soccer, so we're giving that a try next season. 2/19/2016 0 Comments Super Bowl 50I am getting really lazy with taking good pictures. These are bad cell phone pictures. Adrian had a few friends over to watch the game. A friend brought a friend ......This guy casually told me that he played for the Houston Oilers during the pre-season back during the Bum Philips years!!!!!!! Needless to say, I freaked out which took him by surprise.....he had no idea that my love for football started with the Oilers! He was a soccer player from Ireland...played as field goal kicker for the Oilers during one pre-season. LOVE YA BLUE!!!
2/7/2016 2 Comments el ninoBranches from the eucalyptus tree couldn't handle the wind storm last week....this gave Adrian a reason to buy a chainsaw. I noticed this bird sitting on our clothesline....the strange thing was that she allowed me to get really close to her to take these shots. She just sat there ..... I speculate that she is looking for her nest....her babies?? As you can see, Adrian had to cut down some branches to clean up the mess from the storm. So sad :( |
