our little dancer

It was time to finally sign Paulina up for dance. I honestly don't know why we didn't start this years ago? I don't know what I was thinking? Maybe I wanted her to be better at sports? I don't know?!?

It was a last minute call to the San Diego Civic Youth Ballet program who had a spot for her during the Spring session. We were 7 weeks late but I was so excited for her, I didn't want her to wait until the Summer session. She was so excited! A special thanks to Aunt Trang who gave her ballet lessons as a Christmas gift....it is a wonderful gift!

Indian Wells Tennis

UPDATE: Simona Halep won the women's title - WOO-HOO!!!!!

We came for one day of tennis in the blistering desert sun. Lisa stayed the whole weekend with her friends from Texas.

The Men Singles Ranking:

#1 Novak Djokovic - watching him from outdoor lawn along with these folks since we didn't have night game tickets to see him.

#2 Roger Federer in his doubles match..which they lost! Roger is in orange with the turquoise shoes. This game was unbearable to watch being in direct sunlight.

#3 Rafael Nadal - at practice court

#4 Andy Murray - I like his outfit the best (Under Armour)

#5 Kei Nishikori

Checking out the Romanian tennis players.....we saw all but 2 (Hanescu and Tecau). We left our Romanian flag at home, but glad to see other Romanian fans in the crowd.

The best part of our day was getting to say hello to men's doubles team player Florin Mergea (#5). There's another Romanian (#2 Horia Tecau) but we didn't get a chance to watch him.
