We lost Frankie....on our watch! I was in the backyard most of the afternoon and did not detect anything out of the ordinary.
But when it got dark....and Frankie was not in the coop.....I just knew she was gone.
Then we heard the crows cawing....it's like they knew there was fresh meat in the canyon. It was so eerie cause it's not everyday that a bunch of crows are flying around in the canyon.
I don't know what got her, but she's a goner.
Her feathers found in the canyon
MOTHER'S DAY - SOLANA BEACH
PAULA'S COMMUNITY PROJECT PRESENTATION - ANTI-BULLYING BOOK
Nic went to his first TRACK & FIELD meet this weekend.
He only signed up for 1 event (100m run). When we watched the girls run, Nic looked at me and said "OMG, they are super fast". I don't think I can beat the girls. There's now way I can beat the guys".
Nic ran as fast as he could, but it was not enough to make the finals. It was a great experience and we gained total respect for these super athletic kids!
This was our first time camping by the beach after living here for 20 years! Heard that it's really hard to get a spot, so we got lucky when Paula's friend told us that a couple of spots became available. We get that they have to put up a fence around the campsite for safety reasons but it looks really bad. It was a so-so experience.
