Because of Grandmother's passing, we had our first discussion about "Heaven". We talked about funerals, death, God, angels and Heaven.

[We were in the car when Adrian & the kids picked me up at the airport....I was coming home from attending Grandmother's funeral in Texas]

Adrian: How was your trip?

Me: Very nice. Lots of relatives. I have pictures to show you.

Nic: ooh, ooh, ooh! Can I see? Did you take a picture of GOD?

I find these pictures to be quite eerie. After I took them, they make me think of him going on a "stairway" to Heaven. I did not capture it in the picture, but the escalator has a steep incline....and the bright sun at the end makes me think of that "light" at the end...and the expression on his face.

I've been thinking about death a lot lately...Grandmother, Norbert and a colleague at work all passed away within 2 weeks. Too heavy for the heart.

AUTUMN

Walked into a Michael's today and BAM...it's Autumn. LOVE IT. The colors, the smell, the crisp air. It's here..you can feel it. I already warned Adrian that I am going ALL out this year for Halloween....pumpkins on the porch, decorating the house throughout the month of October..would love to host a Halloween party for the kids (but that could be overwhelming too). We're working on a costume for P....a couple of accessories and we are done...soooo excited!

I love Halloween. Wish we have family in the same city.

Oh, and the sound of FOOTBALL (American football) on TV. LOVE IT. Being a Chargers fan is always so disappointing, so this year, I decided to have a second "home" team to root for. I've been deciding the last couple of weeks. I have made my decision....the TEXANS!!!! Looks like Houston finally has a winning team...they beat the COWBOYS (woo-hoo) AND the Colts....I'm sold.

Let's add a third team, the ex-Oilers!
