End of Season - High School Volleyball

Paula's first season of volleyball ended this week.  The team got together this weekend for a beach volleyball game and to thank the 2 coaches (Coach Sarah and Coach Issac)

Adoption Finalized!!

Silly me....I waited so long to complete the adoption of Paula and Nic in the US.  

Records show that I attempted in 2012.....but did not follow through...why?  Some reasons come to mind:
 - deep into projects at work
 - thought of paperwork was daunting
 - figured we were OK since Adrian was the legal parent already

But in truth, it was lingering on my mind year after year...very irresponsible for not following through.  

What if something happened to Adrian?  

One day driving home...sitting in traffic, they aired a story about "Second parent" adoption on KPBS.  I noted the lawyer's name and looked her up that night.

I met with her a week later.  She gave me info on the procedures and forms to fill out.  

I submitted my request in November 2017.....and today, it was finalized!!!!!!  

I am now also the legal parent  - after 10 years!!!
