Turns out the coach is a teddy bear...just intense as hell... So far, so good. They've won both games...and Nic looked good out there....he's showing patience and control and listening to his coach. Nic asked if he could join club soccer so I think it's time we look into that after this season. I hope he makes the cut for club soccer. They announced the show on the radio....the show sold out within the hour. Since I was at work and had no clue about it, by the time I heard about the show (33 hours later)....no luck at the ticket office. I just can't believe it. They are playing tonight...1 mile from my house....remember, this is the same girl that asked her husband to drive her from Romania to Germany so she could watch the Killers in concert......I am actually dealing with it OK....I am 45 years old. I might be the oldest person at the concert so that could be kind of embarrassing....it's all good. I couldn't resist....drove by just to be close to Brandon... We found the tour bus! (Heavy SIGH.....) So besides from NOT going to cool concerts, I'm just hanging out with my chickens..... Rosie sitting in her egg-laying basket., trying to squeeze out an egg...love her! Ironically, I am reluctant to eat her eggs....kinda gross if you think about it....(vomit in mouth). Rosie's present: My boy shares the same love for these chickens...he should consider being a vet! Joe-Joe (neighbor kid) got a new bike today! Off they go..... Celebrating Nic getting a 100% on his spelling test (he didn't believe me that practicing every night helps!) and Paula helping me with house chores: 9/9/2015 2 Comments Taylor Swift - from afarI failed as a Mom on this one......
Had planned on getting Paula tickets to Taylor Swift. When it was time to buy the tickets...talk about sticker shock! $150 a ticket! That is $300 for the both of us...I couldn't do it! It seemed so wasteful. I explained to Paula that we can't just blow $300 for 2 hours of music....she took it well and didn't make a fuss at all. On the night of the concert, we totally forgot about it....then heard on the news that Taylor was about to come out on stage. We decided to head down to the ballpark where Taylor was having the concert....knowing that it was an open baseball field, we figured we could park the car close by to catch some of her hits....when driving around to find parking, Paula spotted Taylor on the jumbotron and people hanging out on the street by a pub to watch. We decided to stay to watch! We caught the whole show minus 2 songs. She cried and squealed with so much excitement...I felt so horrible...damn it. It was worth $300 to be inside...with all the fans screaming and the neon lightshow.....Taylor's fabulous costume changes....and the fireworks!!!! UGH, I felt soooooo bad!!! Next year...I promise, Paula! |
