3/24/2014 0 Comments *Did you watch "the bachelor - season 16"? Of course you didn't. P and I did. Bachelor "Ben" is a wine maker from San Francisco. He was signing his wine bottles at the grocery store that I go to every other day. Lisa wouldn't go with me so I dragged P instead..who was glad to go (remember she wanted to apply to be the next bachelorette?) He checked my ID to make sure I was old enough to taste his wine (ha!).....it was actually good. He asked who he should make it out to...I hesitated (cause I couldn't think of anyone who I could give the bottle to), so he said, "maybe I should just sign it"....then we talked about the drought that didn't affect his crop this year. I asked if he was still single....he said he is with a "normal" girl who is not in the limelight and he is VERY happy.
P: "He kinda looks like Nadal!"

3/17/2014 2 Comments LUCKIEST DAYThank you St. Patrick's for bringing us the BEST NEWS today!!! Adrian received a notice to go to the post office to pick up an international letter. This was the best gift for all of us today! We received a letter from Cristina --- Paula and Nic's oldest sister!!!!!!!! For the past 5 years, I've been sending a small package to their sisters, Cristina and Melania with pictures and updates on P and Nic...every year, I hoped they received the package with the understanding of my intentions. This is the first time that they have written back! The girls live with different foster families but are in the same village. From the pictures, it looks like they are very much in each others' lives which makes me feel so HAPPY! There are many times I wished I was younger and could have adopted all 4 children. I am so thrilled that the sisters are open to having a relationship with P and Nic. This is so nice. When I showed the letter to Paula, she had some tears. Nic was indifferent. I'll have to translate..... 5 years ago when they last saw each other: Cristina (8) , Melania (7), Paula (5), Niculai (3) ** Nic saw this picture and said, "See Mom, look at how annoyed I was to have 3 sisters." And here they are today: Cristina (13) and Melania (12) This looks like a younger picture of Cristina. I have to send them Easter dresses!!! I am so excited!!! I don't know who this man is.....Foster Dad? Birth Dad??? I think the birth Dad is younger than Adrian and me, so I don't think it's him....hmmmmm....look at his smile and Cristina's smile and the crinkle between the eyes....similar?
The more I think about it, the more I think he might be their birth Dad....she only sent us a handful of pictures, why did she include this one? I'll just have to find out.... Lisa and Mike went to the day session and saw more players....we only bought the night game...but luck would have it that Nadal was playing the night game! I am not a huge fan, but he is the number 1 player and we have never seen him play before. (** after reading David's comments, I can see why David thought I might not have liked Nadal by saying that I am not a huge fan....but in fact, what I meant to say was that I like him like a normal person...not obsessed with him like I have been in the past with other players....but now I have to read more about him :) We also watched a Romanian player named Sorana Cîrstea (ranked #25). She's the one in the orange skirt in the pictures below. She left the stadium too fast for Paula to get her ball signed :( 3/2/2014 1 Comment a new brew3/2/2014 1 Comment rainy day excursionBig rainy weekend...got the kids together at the Children's Museum: |
