Family members came from all over to attend this wonderful celebration....Cristina from Canada, Sanda from Italy, Sorina from the US...and of course all their relatives in Romania. One of my favorite people were there too (hello Dr. Helena if you are reading this!! She told Adrian that she checks out the website sometimes) Well, I look forward to the day when Adrian and I can bring the kids back to Romania for vacation to see everyone again. CONGRATULATIONS PUIU, ADRIANA, and SIMONE!!! What a BEAUTIFUL little ANGEL you are! *** more on mamarazzi ***

7/19/2010 1 Comment 6 lives leftOh geeeeez....last night, Friday did not come inside the house. We clanked on the food tin can...no response. We usually try to get them in around 6 - 7 pm. By the time it was 10 pm, it was gloom and doom for me. Adrian walked around the block with his flashlight. Nic and I prayed for Friday to come home. Paula fell asleep. It was pretty cute watching Nic comfort me (Mom, you still have Ollie....and we still have that painting of "Hiday" (He can't pronounce "Fr"iday.)
Oh how I missed my Friday. I decided to lock Oliver in the kids' room and left one of the windows open for Friday. I woke up around midnight...no Friday. I woke up again at 1:30 and there was FRIDAY, cuddled up next to Adrian!!! Thank you GOD for giving us more time with Friday!!!! 7/16/2010 0 Comments downtown LASpent a couple of nights in LA for work. It was surprisingly really nice! We walked to dinner and stumbled across a movie-in-the-making! They were filming "Atlas Shrug". I checked IMDB....don't recognize any of the actors. It was a perfect balmy summer night in LA. I also decided to take the Amtrak instead of driving. It was a very nice experience. View from the train: Inside the Biltmore Hotel where I stayed (1923): Movie set of "Atlas Shrug"...shot on location around the hotel I was staying at: 7/8/2010 0 Comments *At the Del Mar Fair a couple of weekends ago...we passed a booth...some talent agency. They were giving away freebies, so we stopped by. They were trying to get people to sign up to get a "free" consultation. I was somewhat interested....so I signed the kids up. Got a call to bring them in to audition last weekend. Nic was too shy to do anything, so Paulina was our only meal ticket. She was given a little commercial slogan to memorize. She was taken into a room to audition. They filmed her. I had to stay outside. After the short commercial audition, she went into another room for some "important" lady to check her out. She said that Paulina was "stunning" and "looked mature for her age". She thinks modeling for print ads would be ideal for her (flashes of Gap and LL Bean catalogs were floating in my head). Then she had P do the catwalk. P blew me away..she sashayed with so much sass...in front of about 50 people..had her serious face on...where does this girl learn how to do this....I was so unprepared, I did not tape or take any pictures. Talent agent told us to call back in a few days to see if Paulina was picked. Fast forward to the results day. They said that she had model potential and wants her to attend their school. For $1500/yr, they will teach her how to be a model and book her at mall fashion shows and various modeling gigs. After a short discussion with Adrian, we decided not to pursue this route for P. We rather she play sports and learn how to add and subtract right now. Flashes of Lindsey Lohan told me not to do this. So we declined. The agency offered to drop to $1000 if P would join them.....she kept telling me that P has huge potential for print ads (flashes of Target crossed my mind)...but no....I honestly can not be that Mom right now..I am just so busy at work and barely keeping the house together.....so sorry P if I am crushing your potential future in modeling. I was always curious of the process, so now I know. I will record her little commercial for you guys. Commercial: "My favorite drink is Kool-Aid Squeeze-It. It has a burst of Kool-Aid flavors in every squeeze". The Killers were at the White House on July 4th... Check out this video: |
