Met up with Grandma (Bunica) and Adriana's family for fun in the sand and snow in Arizona and Utah....
Here's a family photo taken about 6 years ago:
Attempted to re-enact the same photo 6 years later...we did our best to mimic similar clothing with whatever we had in our luggage:
Horse Shoe Bend
Grand Staircase Escalante
Brian Head Ski Resort
Pictures throughout the week:
Nic has been talking about a kid named Casey. I finally met Casey today.
There is a running contest at school to encourage the kids to run laps in the morning before the bell rings. Each lap they complete is scanned on their student ID card for tracking purposes. Each day, their completed laps are accumulated. By the end of x weeks, the top 3 kids will win Amazon gift cards (first place = $75; second place = $50, third place = $25). When Nic told us that he was going to really try, we told him if he placed, we would match the prize $!! Boy, was he motivated!
Contest is still going....but Nic is currently in 2nd place!! The first place kid is untouchable, ahead of Nic by at least 5 miles. All he talks about is how awesome this Casey kid is. Casey is on a track team, plays baseball, soccer, etc.
Today, Nic's soccer team played Casey's team....and Casey, indeed, was amazing on the soccer field.

I've been cutting P's hair all these years.....so decided it was time for her to experience a fun hair salon. A friend at work as a daughter attending The Paul Mitchell School who suggested I take P there.
What a great idea. She was pampered for almost 2 hours! It takes a long time for the students to shampoo/cut/style cause they have to show their teacher throughout the process.
They recommended the wand iron to give her lots of volume! She is soooo happy!!
Nic didn't like all the noise and people buzzing around at The Paul Mitchell School...begged to go to a "normal" place. He was very comfortable at SuperCuts.
