5/9/2011 2 Comments * A neighbor hosted a Kentucky Derby party this past weekend. They asked if I could organize the "Kid-Derby"....I was so crazy busy, but couldn't say "no".....a character flaw. The night before the party, I roamed around Michaels looking for inspiration. I was inspired by Elia's horse in this picture, but wasn't sure how I was going to make 7 of these things...  I picked up these foamy things, black & yellow yarn and big glue-on eyes. Adrian found bamboo sticks from the canyon in our backyard. So there you have it:

 Wanted to jot these down before I forget:
On Saturday, we had a neighbor over at the house. She has a 4 year old kid who is now Nic's new friend. Anyway, they were in Nic's room..I was in the living room, overhead this question: [Nic] Are you wearing underwear? [Neighbor lady] Of course! Later that night, [Me] Why did you ask Kristin if she was wearing underwear? [Nic] Because I could see her butt! Yeah, it was a hot day..her short-shorts were pretty short! On Sunday night watching the big news on bin Laden on TV, I asked Nic if he knew our President's name.... [Nic] Yes, it's O-Mama. 5/1/2011 1 Comment neighborly loveWe love our ex-neighbors! Nicolas and Mary used to live next door to us, but moved to Irvine to fulfill a dream position at a hospital there. The last time we met to say our good-byes before leaving for Romania, they only had one little boy, Elias. Today, we united after 5 years!
