I'm just not digging her birth name Paula. I asked her if she cared if we call her a different variation of her name..she seemed to not care. If we are going to use a different name, we should start next week, when she starts school. I tried calling her "Paulina", but it's 3 syllables...too long. A month ago, we had some friends over for dinner. When I heard my French guest say "Pauline"....oooh, it sounds so beautiful...but anything coming out of a French woman sounds beautiful. She told me that Pauline is the French version.... it's 2 syllables, kinda retro, frenchy....not common, not strange...pretentious?
